E-Cell at Nirma University organises ATHENA 1.0, a Business Plan Competition

The Centre for Entrepreneurship (E-Cell) at Nirma University organised ATHENA 1.0, a Business Plan Competition from July 11-12, 2020. The competition was open for the students of Nirma University only. A total of 32 teams with more than 100 participants were part of Athena 1.0. The idea was to allow the students an opportunity to pitch their business ideas and to support their visions. It aimed at helping young entrepreneurs to figure out where they were on their start-up journey. The technologies used to organise the event were Discord and YouTube.

After a tough fight, the following teams emerged as the winners of the ATHENA 1.0.

1. UWE SAFE (Mr Rushil Agrawal, Ms Divyanshi Dubey, Mr Parth Amol and Ms Pramiti Rawat): Automatic Door Sanitizing Unit
2. WITTY TAG (Ms Swasti Salecha, Ms Debaleena Mazumdar and Ms Bhavya Chaudary) Ideating on simplifying E-Book reading for avid readers; EVERYTHING LAW SCHOOL (Mr Ritvik Jha, Mr Piyush Kumar Singh, Mr Anubha Maheshwari and Mr Ritunjay Sharma): Ideated on a platform for Law aspirants to help with legal reports.
3. THE PHOENIX (Ms Shalini Budhwani, Ms Deeasha, Ms Devyaani and Ms Muskan): Ideated on helping with career guidance interacting with people on the same domain.

The winning teams received cash prizes, internship opportunities and Pre-incubation support from Nirma University.
