About

The Centre for Entrepreneurship is guided by the steering committee made up of the senior management of the university and industry experts including entrepreneurs. The activities are well organised by the administrative wing of the Centre including the student group called e-Cell. To inculcate the entrepreneurial concept, the curriculum involves courses as well as an option to students of taking Entrepreneurship as a minor specialisation of the studies. To spread entrepreneurial awareness, the Centre organises activities such as Awareness Camp, Boot Camp, Business Plan Competition, Field Trip, Entrepreneur’s Talk, Debates & Quizzes, Market Day and various competitions based on the theme of entrepreneurship. The Centre has also registered itself under the scheme of “Institution’s Innovation Council” of Ministry of Human Resource Development to systematically foster the culture of Innovation. Also, to drive the potential students towards offering a viable business solution, Pre-Incubation facility is established in which the students are sponsored and facilitated to turn their innovative business idea into the Proof-of-Concept stage, and then further directed to register themselves into the on-campus incubator so that a successful start-up company can be established. This way the Centre plays very important role in driving the business through innovation and eventually the strengthening of the regional economy.
