Centre for Entrepreneurship, Nirma University had organised a field visit on August 3, 2018, to Centre for Excellence for welding, LD Engineering, Ahmedabad for the students with a minor specialisation in entrepreneurship.
The Centre for Excellence was established with the support of the Center of Entrepreneurship Development (CED) and Gujarat Technology University (GTU). The objective of the centre is to run need-based specific courses in different areas of engineering to enhance the skill of students.
Students visited the fab lab and interacted with the trainees working on prototypes. The centre is run by Mr Ragesh Bateriwala, Managing Director, Keepsake Engineering and Consultancy Pvt Ltd. Interacting with the students, he shared his entrepreneurial journey and high-tech entrepreneurship. He further talked about why innovations and enhanced technologies are necessary to sustain in the market. He motivated the students on learning new technologies and becoming a successful entrepreneur.
